Moving Images
Edward Muybridge (Eadweard Muybridge);
Edward Maybridge was a photographer in the 19th Century. He was famous for his moving image of a horse, he done this to prove that horses legs are off the ground for split second. He used a zoopraxiscope a device he used to project his moving images that used film strips, this was seen as the beginning of cinematography.
He is also used forms of science in his works to develop a visually interesting image, producing over 100,000 images of humans and animals in motion. My Time Lapse Film: |
Animated GIFs:
A GIF is a series of photos that is put into a formation to give the idea that the images are moving to create a small 'film'. You can make your own GIF by downloading an app on your iPod or iPhone. I tend to use the app MoPho as it is really simple and easy to use. You can also get an app that 'melts' your GIFs to create a cool effect called, 'gifmelter' |
Stop Motion & Time Lapse
Stop Motion:
Is a form of animation to make a solid object appear as though it is moving. A way in which this technique is used is in films like 'Wallace and Gromit' which take years to create. |
