Anna Atkins
Anna Atkins was one of the first female photographers. She was said to have collected dried plants and different types of woods which were then to be made into images.
She was first introduced to 'photogenic drawing' by one of her fathers friends. From then on she was influenced to create some of her own images. . She documented pictures of her wide collection of seaweed in a number of books, making her one of the few people in her time to put pictures in a book. She is regarded as one of the first female photographers. |
